How to Access Seedance 2.0 (Including Outside China)

Every way to use Seedance 2.0 — Dreamina, CapCut, Jimeng, and global third-party platforms — plus how to access it outside China without a Chinese phone number.

Seedance 2.0 is available through a surprising number of doors — the trick is picking the one that works for where you are and how much setup you want. Here's the full map.

Official ByteDance routes

  • Dreamina (dreamina.capcut.com) — the main international entry point. Email or Google sign-in, up to 1080p output.
  • CapCut — Seedance 2.0 inside the editor's AI Video / Video Studio tools (step-by-step here).
  • Jimeng / 即梦 — the China version (web + app), typically requiring a Chinese phone number and a Douyin account.
  • Doubao / 豆包 — ByteDance's assistant app, in its China-market video tools.
  • Volcano Engine / BytePlus ModelArk — the official API for developers (Seedance API guide).

Third-party platforms (global)

If an official app isn't available or convenient, several authorized or partner platforms serve Seedance 2.0 worldwide: fal.ai, Replicate, Pollo AI, Higgsfield, and Runway. These are reachable from essentially any country.

Accessing Seedance 2.0 outside China (no VPN needed)

This is the most common pain point. You do not need a Chinese phone number or a VPN — you just need to avoid the China-only apps:

  1. Dreamina international — works in most countries with email/Google login. (Note it may block some VPN IP ranges, so use your normal connection.)
  2. CapCut international app — from the App Store / Google Play with a local number or email.
  3. A global third-party platform — fal, Replicate, Higgsfield, Pollo, or Runway.

Avoid Jimeng / 即梦 if you're overseas — it's built for the China market and its sign-up requirements make it impractical elsewhere.

For context, the international rollout happened in stages through spring 2026 — starting with Southeast Asia and Latin America and reaching Europe, Japan, and the US by April 2026 — so by mid-2026 it's available in most countries, though the exact tier and gating can still vary by region and account type.

One content-policy heads-up

Across both the international and China versions, early access blocks uploads with real, recognizable human faces, screens for unauthorized IP/trademarks, and adds an invisible watermark. If a reference image of a real person gets rejected, that's the policy — not a bug.

The zero-setup option

If regional gating, app installs, or account requirements are in your way, the simplest path is to skip them: pick a proven prompt and generate it on ponpon, which runs the Seedance line and is available globally — no Chinese phone number, no VPN, no install. For what it costs across routes, see Seedance 2.0 pricing.
