How to Access Seedance 2.5: Every Route (and When It Opens)

As of mid-July 2026, Seedance 2.5 is in a closed enterprise beta — not yet openly available to everyone. The widely reported July 16 API opening has come and gone without a public launch — no public API, model listing, or pricing yet. The strongest signal now is CapCut's official teaser that Dreamina Seedance 2.5 is "coming soon" to CapCut; ByteDance still hasn't confirmed an exact public date. Official ByteDance routes

• Volcano Engine (Ark) API — the direct, programmatic route, aimed at businesses and production pipelines. This is where broader access is expected to open first. Expect an application/approval step for enterprise use.
• Dreamina / Jimeng — ByteDance's consumer creation platforms. Dreamina serves international creators; Jimeng (the China app) generally requires a Chinese phone number. These are the most full-featured way for individuals once 2.5 lands there.
• Doubao — ByteDance's assistant app, part of the China-first rollout.

International access (no VPN needed)

For users outside China, the practical routes are Dreamina (international) and BytePlus ModelArk for API access — you don't need Jimeng or a Chinese number for these. Third-party platforms will also add Seedance 2.5 once the public Volcano Engine API is live, usually within days to weeks of it opening.

A content-policy heads-up

Like other ByteDance video models, Seedance applies content moderation — realistic human faces, public figures, and certain sensitive content are restricted. Some coverage has also raised copyright questions around long AI clips, so keep commercial rights and platform terms in mind for anything you publish.
